I see memories touched on those lips
Those lips i once loved to kiss
The memories bring me such sorrow
Though the actions once brought me such bliss
Why are the day's numbered now
As we look back and count them down?
I once saw a dream in the future
Though now in the past i drown
Given a chance to live it again
I know I'd follow the same whim
Though my life once seemed so perfect
Now it all feels so grim
Give me one last kiss
Touch me with those lips so soft
Poison them before your kiss
So my soul may be sent aloft

The last stanza is really, truly powerful. Not that the rest of the poem is not powerful enough, but the last four lines drew me in completely.
As a fellow poet, it is good to see writers and poets that still dare to rhyme, in spite of the world-wide disdain for creating poems with rhytm, structure and words that go well together ;-)
