When i wore a younger man's heart
My smile wavered at each passing glance
Now that maturity has filled my coat
I'll tip my hat and ask you to dance
When I walked a path long forgotten now
I had no courage to step into the light
But now that age has filled my gut
I'll step forward and ask you out tonight
When time seemed so abundant
I told myself always "someday"
now that the hours grow dim
It seems the posibilities have flown away
Cant i go back?
to when my heart was so young
When courage was missing
and fear filled my lung?
Can't i go back
To when time stretched so far
When i knew where to find you
As i followed your star?
No, Time is now passed
This is the truth
Passed are the day's
And the time of my youth.
